This piece is for some extra credit work I'm doing. Our teacher asked us to create our own tutorial instead of following one. I based mine off of one that I did last year. The instructions to make your own are below.

How to make and ginger guy animation in one hour:
1)    Create a new document at 8 by 10
2)    Decide how you want your background to look. I chose a green hill with a light blue sky behind it.
3)    Use the pen tool to make and selection the shape of a hill and fill with the color you like. I chose an overlay with a light green and a darker green. I filled the sun with a light blue color to represent the sky.
4)    I then added the illusion of sunlight by going to filter>render>lens flare then adding it to the upper right corner of the image.
5)    Now the background is complete.
6)    Now we need to begin the boy.
7)    I started by making shoes. I used the ellipse tool and just made a circular shape you can see in the image. I then drew shoe laces in with the pencil tool.
8)    Too make the shape I just used the pen tool and shaped it with a cartoon like look.
9)    I filled the pants with a tan color and put an Inner Shadow and Inner glow on it by double clicking on the layer.
10)  Next you need to repeat the same step with a shirt of your choice. I’m giving my person a white button down with a red tie.
11)  Once again I used the pen tool to shape the tie and I filled it with red then added black stripes.
12)  Next is the hands where I used the ellipse tool to make an oval shape and added 3 lopsided ovals to be the fingers on each hand. I then added a thumb and and once again put an inner glow on it.
13) The Next step is the head. I made a Stewie Griffin shaped head with a light tan color and added freckles using the brush tool with a brown color at a low opacity.
14) For the eyes I created one ellipse to represent the whites of the eye. I then made one for the color of the eye and I added a small black dot to the center as the pupil.
15) Next is the mouth. I used the ellipse tool and filled it with red. I then used the pen tool to create the upper teeth and lower teeth. (Look at final image to get an idea of what to do).
16) Next is the nose. I shape is sort of just like a 2/3 triangle. Check the image for reference.
17) The next step is the hair. Obviously since it is a ginger I’m making I’m going to give him red hair. I used a gradient overlay with a darker orange and a lighter orange.
18) This is the final ginger guy in one hour piece.

Here is an updated image of my Ray Lewis painting. I'm going to finish his body and possibly add a famous Ray Lewis quote to touch it up. Stay tuned for the final image because it is taking some time.

This piece is for a tutorial that my entire class is doing where we have to paint a portrait of somebody. Mine is going to be Ray Lewis. Stick to this blog for more posts and updated versions of this piece.

This is the surreal piece I mentioned in my last post. I took a face added red eyes and made it into a sort of bowl with a fish jumping out. the fish is about to be caught by the diver with a net. To make it more surrealistic I made the walls a maze with a transparent roof maze. The moon during the day time adds more surrealism to it. Keep watching the blog for more updates and pieces.

Currently I'm working on a piece for a surreal tutorial that shows a head cut open and filled with water with a fish jumping out of it. I'm adding in a diver with a fish net catching the fish. The head will also be surrounded by maze looking walls. Stay tuned for the final piece.

This piece was for a tutorial that was a music poster. The original was Ice Ice Baby but I changed it to my last name and my number. Instead of just a cloud background I added a football field background to it. Stay tuned for more art.

This is the updated Runge Style piece representing my teacher doing the Gangam Style dance. I couldn't figure out how to convert it to a .mov so I posted the gif file hoping it would play. Stay tuned for more art.

This piece was for a project my teacher assigned where we had to pick a story and turn it into a surreal piece. My story was about a hike my family and I were on in Brazil and a monkey decided to take a leak from up in the trees on my brother. I made it sort of heaven versus hell where a bucket of water represents the monkey doing his business.

This is and image of my teacher Mr. Runge doing the Gangham Style dance. I'm currently trying to make it into an animation of him doing the dance. When I finish I will try to post it if I can figure out how. Stay tuned for more pieces.

I am a Tampa Bay Bucs fan so for a contest called "More Than Usual"I created a picture with six Super Bowl Champions to mock them for their lack of skill. I took a picture of a Pittsburgh Steeler trophy case and overlayed a Bucs picture over the Steelers and added txt to the case.

This piece I made was based off of a Worth1000 contest of an animated scene that's a combination of cute and scary. It consists of a little boy enjoying a beautiful day but his dog is a demon dog representing the scary part of the image. Stay tuned for more pieces.

This image was for a contest on Worth1000.com. The theme was to make a scary sign. It shows highway signs that represent entering a hostile territory. The viewer of the picture sees the image through crosshairs as if he was about to shoot. Stay tuned for more art.

This piece was for a project where I was required to turn a normal house into a sad one. I used a filter and added tears to the left side of the image to show the subtle emotion of sadness. Keep watching the blog for new pieces to come.

Due to my knee injury and missing multiple days of school this week I decided to throw together a quick pen tool sketch of a knee highlighting what I hurt. I tore my medial meniscus in my left knee. I used the pen tool to draw the outline of a knee MRI and added small details like the menisci and knee cap. I also used the burn tool to add shadows to it. I will have more images to come starting again next week.

This image is for a surrealism contest at the local Dali Musuem. I took a picture of my friend Seif and put his head on a surfer's body. It is interesting because he is also on the moon surfing around the pyramids with a very unique sky in the background. This is my first post of this school year and stay tuned because there are many more to come.

This image was created for a class project on creating an urban legend image. I obviously based my image off of the legend of bigfoot. As you can see there is a magnified sasquatch on the front page of a tabloid magazine. I originally had just the image with the sasquatch, but I thought it would work nice on the front of the "National Enquirer."

This image was made by following a tutorial on how to focus on an object by making the background black and white. I did this by changing the background to grayscale and then reselecting the car and place it on top with the color still there. As you can see the car is the main focus in the image.

This image is a tutorial that I made using the move tool as one of my first photoshop experiences. I simply selected a hat and used the move tool to drag it onto the dog. This tutorial is simple but awesome.

This image is a roller coaster that goes through the sky for a surreal picture project. I made a pattern for the tracks and painted inside a selection. I put a new cloud cover over the valley, and the roller coaster travels to a cloud theme park.

This image was for a project where the idea was to combine two movies and create a movie poster out of it. My idea was to combine the movies Men in Black and Avatar because I thought it would be cool to put the large Navi people in suits and ties. The psd tools I used in this project were multiple selection tools and the color replacement brush tool.

This piece was made for a contest at my school. The project was to create a spring like piece. Mine is a picture of a sunflower and inside the sunflower a picture of a waterfall and a flower overlayed over the sunflower. It makes it a sort of mosaic image that looks cool.

This image is an advertisement for the campaign to create a 2nd floor to our school's new gym. The idea of portraying the future constructions to the gym through a sketch on paper intrigued me. The slogan "Take It To the Next Level" is catchy and I believe that it fits well in the sky.
This image is of Zach Galifianakis from The Hangover, and I customized it to make it Christmas themed. Our class project for this week was to make a celebrity Santa. To show my love for this movie series, I based my image off of my favorite character. I also found it humorous to make baby Carlos an elf to unify the image.

This image was of a $100 bill that I edited to put my face and name on it. I followed a tutorial from psdtuts.com and edited it a little bit. This project was all about making yourself do something amazing, and I loved the idea of being on a dollar bill.
